Simonne exudes youthful energy and enthusiasm she so generously pours into all her work. She has a profound impact on all pople she meets, or who meet her, irrespectively of their age or line of work. Her brilliant personality, her joy of life and zest for life, her enormous charisma (of which she seems unaware)all have transforming impact on people.

She is also a most inspiring example of the strenght of human spirit. She is a living messenger of victory of forgiveness and compassion for the fellow human beings.

She inspires people  just by being herself, her enormous optimism, compassionate attitude, capacity to forgive the most inhumane treatment she went trough during the war, and making her life a dedication to betterment of the lives of “those who have no voice” the oppressed and the abused women and children.

It is rare in life to meet a person with a capacity for forgiveness that outstrips anything that can be imagined. Dr. Simonne Jameson is such a person.

…More significantly, Simonne has evolved, through her experiences and her education into a woman whose capacity for forgiveness and whose ideals of peace are truly inspirational.

…Simonne has made visits to our school each time in a different capacity.

…The students were completely spellbound , their comments were “The best speaker we have ever had”.

We would have no hesitation in recommending Dr. Jameson as a speaker for senior students in particular, her capacity to bring to life her story of her time in Paris and her willingness to speak in clear and easily understandable French have made her a marvellous contributor to the education of the young people of Wesley College.

I have known Dr.Simonne Jameson since 1976 when as Head of Paediatrics in the Flinders Medical School and Medical Centre I met her when she was employed as a Clinical Child Psychologist by the S.A Government Child Pychiatric Service at the Child Guidance Clinic in Adelaide.

Dr. Jameson became associated with my department when a multidisciplinary Child Assessment Team was established to receive referred children from the community with multiple problems.

Simonne worked very enthusiastically and effectively in their team, frequently seeing children in the evenings and at weekends to meet the very heavy clinical load she carried. She operated in an effective, informed  and skilled fashion and her devotion to the families and children she treated was exceptional.

Since leaving her contact with this  hospital Dr Jameson has practiced privately with the same areass of special interest she has when on our staff.Again I believe she has continued to show sincere and genuine interest in , and responsible management of, the families she has treated.

I recently attended a lecture at the “Jung Institute” in Melbourne conducted by Dr. Simonne Jameson called “meeting with Dali and Jung”

As a counsellor and Psychotherapist, (and member of c.a.p.a.v.)…I found myself in awe of this amazingly intelligent woman, who not only possesed an incredible will to survive but to go on living with a passion for others and a desire  to help those in need.

Her courage and tenacity have inspired me and her experiences were captivating. Her credentials and achievements exceed my expectations of any one person.

….The lecture was an experience I am delighted to have been a part of and I look forward to any  further workshops or lectures given by Dr. Jameson.

Simonne Jameson has made most remarkable contribution to Humanity at large and in australia. She truly is a most extraordinary woman who survived horrendeous experiences of sexual and psychological abuse in her early teens and emerged not as a victim, or a martyr, but as a person of enormous courage, strenght of spirit and character, who transformed the suffering she endured into compassion towards fellow human beings in the World suffering the abuse, from the depth of her suffering, instead of despair, a deeply positive idea of her life mission came into being- to help the fellow abuse sufferers and to prevent the abuse of children and women.

True to that early resolution, she has studied Psychology and related subjects to acquire the necessary skills and has dedicated her life to helping the sufferers of all kinds of abuse.

To finally write about her own experience of the abuse was a difficult and brave decision as it is heart wrenching subject and it was very painful to relieve those experiences of intense suffering again. She knew – she had to do it to beat the cancer she developed in one of her lungs. As she put it – "to get that story out of my chest".

Simonne is a person of enormous courage and by writing her story she has freed herself of the past and of cancer and became an inspiration to other sufferers of abuse and cancer –showing them, that it is possible to live again and look to the better and brighter future.
